Gilt.com Review

NewShoes1Hi everyone! I received my shoes from Gilt.com last week and decided to write a review of my first experience and what you can expect if you order from there. I did ship internationally (if you can really call Canada international!) so bear in mind that some things may differ if you’re ordering from the US.

First off, finding what I wanted was extremely easy. Their website is set up as different “events,” usually different designers or categories that are featured that day. You also have the ability to search for what you want, and even narrow down results by size, which is what I did. For international orders, I really like that applicable duties are included in the price you see, in your own currency, so there are no surprises when you go to check out. The downsides of international orders are that you pay higher shipping (still only around $10), and there are no returns. This may sound very scary, but if you’re following my tips you shouldn’t have to return many items anyway. The gorgeous heels I ordered were a touch big, but it was nothing some insoles couldn’t fix, and they made the shoes more comfortable so I see it as a win.

giltOverall, I had a great experience. Shipping was very quick, the discount was great, and both pairs of shoes were exactly as pictured. The no returns policy for international orders is the biggest downside, but I think if you google the item and find some product reviews, or even photos of people wearing the item, you’ll get a good idea as to what you’re getting.

Since ordering the shoes, I have placed an additional order that has shipped even faster! Highly recommended website, there’s even a convenient app to shop from. Here’s my personal invitation for you to join: http://www.gilt.com/invite/158810151anx9egkqcf3
