Shopping for your Wedding Online: Directory of Websites for All Your Needs

Hi everyone, while shopping for my wedding, I realized it would be a huge help to people to have a directory for everything wedding-related. It’s pretty difficult to find some of these things if you don’t know where to look, so hopefully I’ve covered everything!

J.Crew: Great for: bridesmaid’s dresses, wedding dresses, shoes, stationary, suits and flower girl dresses. Very traditional selections, prices are on point to what you would find in bridal salons or boutiques with some budget-friendly options. Keep in mind if you’re shipping internationally, you will have to pay duties and taxes.

BHLDN: Great for: bridesmaid’s dresses, wedding dresses, wedding decor, lingerie, shoes, veils and accessories. Definitely for the bride who is looking for something different; very unique styles at all price points (check out items on sale for huge discounts), lots of cute shoes and accessories as well. Shipping is pretty expensive, but items arrived quickly and didn’t get caught at customs when I ordered. Definitely check the reviews available for product sizing as some of these European designers can have slightly different sizing from standard US sizes.

Etsy: Great for: one-of-a-kind wedding dresses, handmade jewelry, wedding decor, unique gifts, veils, garters, clutches and wedding stationary (invitations, etc.) You can pretty much find anything on Etsy, I personally bought my bridal jewelry, gifts, and garters from various sellers on here and have been delighted with everything. Almost everything you see is handmade, or made to order for your specifications where you can communicate with the seller directly to discuss your needs. A lot of sellers offer rush delivery as well if you need something last minute. Don’t know what to buy as a gift? Etsy also sells gift cards, so your friends and loved ones can pick out items they like themselves.

Modcloth: Great for: vintage-inspired bridesmaid’s and wedding dresses (more casual), gifts, shoes and jewelry. Also check out some of their white cocktail dresses for events like bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, etc. Great for girls on a budget! Lots of options for short wedding dresses as well, which are hard to find in-stores. Modcloth also offers tons of “real wedding” photos so you can see how the dresses look when everything is all put together. For more about Modcloth, you can read my review here.

Freshpair: Great for: lingerie and shapewear. You’d be surprised how hard it is to find cute strapless bras for under your wedding dress. Freshpair I found to have the best selection, with tons of customer reviews as well. They have all the brands you know and love, including Hanky Panky, Simone Perele, and Spanx. Shipping did take quite a while though, so keep that in mind.

Vistaprint: Great for: wedding invitations, shower invitations, thank-you notes, programs, table cards, menus, RSVP cards and save the dates. Vistaprint is my one-stop shop for all wedding stationary; with tons of promo codes and sales, you can get some great deals as well, with tons of options to choose from. They have a US and Canadian website, and shipping is very quick and includes tracking. One thing I love most is that they recommend matching products to ones you’re already buying so everything is cohesive. Be sure to check Ebates for cash back offers as well!

Kate Spade: Great for: bridesmaids gifts, wedding shoes, wedding purses, jewelry, accessories, items for honeymoon. I absolutely love Kate Spade, so much so that I purchased all the gifts for my bridesmaids from their online boutique, and bought a cute tote bag that’s very honeymoon-appropriate. Kate Spade really is the perfect stop for a bride who is looking for something cute, girly, and preppy for either herself or her bridesmaids.
